The St. Bonaventure Women's basketball team has ended their season with a 60-50 loss to the St Louis Billikins.  What is a Billikin anyway?  The Bonnies had many bright spots this season and will only graduate one senior so next year may hold the cards. Especially, with Coach Crowley really being back in the swing of things.  Maybe by then we will know what a Billikin is and be able to avoid it.  

3/1/2025

St. Bonaventure Women's basketball closed out the regular season with a 67-57 loss to Dayton on Senior day.  Now is when the magic will come.  The Bonnies will head to the tournament to become the Cinderella team.  Surprising everyone!  Oops sorry I haven't quite woke up yet.  Dreaming big in the small town in the middle of nowhere.

2/28/2025

The Lady Bonnie's had another rough day. Duquesne beat the Bonnie's 74-48.  It was an early game but the Bonnie's forgot to wake up the basketball within.  There were a few bright spots.  The Ladies committed the fewest turnovers this season.  They hung tight to the ball but neglected to shoot it well.  In this basketball world you can't have it all.  The season is almost over with the finale on Saturday.  

2/23/2025

The Lady Bonnie's beat LaSalle!  A little bit of a warmup sparked the Bonnie's to get hot themselves.  Beating LaSalle 48-41.  The Bonnies posted a season high amount of steals.  The Ladies beat the Explorer's on the boards.  They were able to take advantage of good opportunities later in the game that really sealed this win.  I hope the stealing  ways continue..maybe they can steal a few in the tournament!  

2/16/2025

The Lady Bonnie's have been as slippery as the roads this weekend.  They lost to Davidson 55-37.  Their slippery slope is 10 games now.  The first quarter was where they Bonnie's shone, however it was all downhill from there.  Four more games are left before the Atlantic 10 Tournament kicks off.  Maybe the Bonnie's can slide into a Cinderella outfit.  

2/8/2025

Lady Bonnie's faltered again losing to GW 58-49.  On the eve of the biggest game in football where us Cowboys fans are bitterly hoping the Eagles lose, St Bonaventure has fallen to a dismal 5-19.  Someone needs to point out to them that this is not a how low can you go kinda league.  

2/2/2025

t's been a long cold winter in St Bonaventure and it's going to be longer according to Puxatawny Phil.  Damn groundhog anyway.  The Lady Bonnies certainly feel the same with yet another loss.  Duquesne beat them 80-46.  Not very many bright spots for the Bonnies.  The Duquesne coach liked their warm up and thought he might be in trouble, however the Dukes led the whole way and never looked back.  

1/30/2025

Once again the Lady Bonnie's lose a tough one.  LaSalle beat the Bonnie's 67-58.  The ball bounced as much as the score.  Three ties took place including going into the half.  The Lady Bonnie's got colder than a Cattaraugus county winter and LaSalle never looked back.  

1/26/2025

Preparations for Valentine's Day are going well.  The Lady Bonnie's lost a heartbreaker to Fordham 51-49.  There is a glimmer of hope though because this was a complete game from the start to finish by the Bonnies.  Hopefully by Valentine's Day the heart beating will be glowing with a full win meter. 

1/15/2025

The Lady Bonnie's were afraid of the Spiders and allowed The Richmond Spiders to crawl all over them.   Four Spiders were in double figures in this 38 point loss.  Loss is an understatement and the Bonnie's need to find an overstatement going forward. 

1/12/2025

The Lady Bonnie's were led by Dani Haskell and Zoe Shaw in a unprotected RC.  The Minutewomen came in and stole one on the road.  Make sure to close those RC doors to keep the thieves out!  ....and the cold! Rebounding and turnovers were a big issue for the Bonnie's. The Lady Bonnie's are back on the road to Richmond on Wednesday.

The Lady Bonnie's avoided the slippery slope and broke their 4 game losing streak.  In the final 30 seconds they downed St Louis 68-66.  This team has some fight in them as they rallied from 14 down.  Coach Crowley stated "It was a bad first half.  Bad execution.  Bad coaching." Coaches in America admit to that? A win is a win no matter how ugly it is.  Take some credit Coach.

The Lady Bonnie's are struggling in this new year.  They were not the only thing frozen this week.  Brrrr.  George Mason  froze the  Lady Bonnie's out in every statistic and beat them 83-63.  Hopefully, they will be able to unthaw very soon and put a W in the column.
