The Spiders were up by as many as 7 points with under 5 minutes left in the game and lost 63-59 to St.Louis. Like the shy guy, unable to close the deal and land a date with the hot girl. At least they show consistency with their fourth loss in a row, falling to 7-12.

The Spiders fell to 7-11 which would be a good thing if they were playing craps at the casino, but alas, they were on a basketball court instead.
This pushes their losing streak to 3 games with a 63-49 loss to The Bonnies.
They actually had the lead at the 13 minute mark of the 2nd half which is the only redeeming compliment I can find and even that’s a stretch.
Losing their starting point guard put a hurting on this team and I am not so sure they will be able to recover this season.
Let’s see if they can rebound when they host St. Louis this Saturday.

The Spiders were not ram tough losing in OT to Rhode Island 67-64 in OT after blowing a 7 point lead at the half. Unfortunately their leading scorer, Delonne Hunt, is out with a foot injury from the previous game, so look for Neskovic to pick up the slack. He had 28 points in the loss. I'll rate this game a 2 spider leg loss especially with their leading scorer on the bench, not being allowed back in with 20 seconds left in OT.

Well, the winning streak was short lived, losing to George Mason 64-58.
The only compliment I can find is the team hit a 3 pointer banked shot toward the end of the half to take a 5 point lead, so that’s kind of cool.
The bad guys were led by Brayden O’Connor with a team high 16 points who also could be the twin of Will Farrell in the movie Semi-Pro.
Next up, Rhode Island comes to town on January 11.

A miracle on 34th Sreet! A 2 game win streak is officially a trend! An 8 point win over the Minutemen of UMass. Interesting observation that the Spiders are in 3rd place in the Conference, yet 13th out of 15th in overall wins and losses. My spidey senses aren't convinced they get 3 in a row at George Mason, but that's why they play the game.

From the words of the late Gomer Pyle...Surprise, Surprise, Surprise! George Washington University came to town looking for an easy victory. The Spider men were like "Hold my beer" and came out with the 66-61 victory at the Robin's Center moving them from last to 7th place in the Atlantic 10. I'm not convinced they are a top 3 team in the league, but if they can win their next game, we've got a trend on our hands.

You ever see the picture of a stick figure poking something with a stick to see if it's alive? That was the theme last night losing to FCGU 75-57. Shooting 30 percent from the field and 21 percent from the 3 point line ain't going to cut it. The Spiders are now 5-8 and in last place. I guess on the bright side, there's no place to go but up.

The Spider men snapped a 3 game losing streak a win over VMI streak bringing them within 2 games of a .500 record. Rumor has it Spiderman made a guest appearance in the locker room teaching them how to jump with their legs. It paid off with a season high 12 offensive rebounds.

The Spiders were on the road facing William and Mary with both teams sitting at 4-6.
The Spider men were led by Dusan Neskovic with 20 points, but it wasn’t enough as they succumbed to the Tribe 93-87.
Richmond coach Chris Mooney was quoted, “When you’re playing that fast that split second it takes you to recognize ‘ that’s a shooter I’m closing out to rather than a driver…..’"
Driver? Like the golf club? I feel it could be a long season when the coach is already thinking about exchanging his suit and tie on the court for a pair of Payne Stewart knickers on the golf course.
Next up, the men host VMI on 12/21.

The Spiders welcomed the Belmont Bruins to the Robins Center for a 6pm Saturday game. Bruins took the W 93 -86 dropping the good guys to a 4-6 record. There was a common theme as I followed the play by play online. Missed layups. I guess next practice will have Allen Iverson as special guest teaching back to basics with the G.A.P technique. Who knew there was a science to the easiest shot in basketball? Not I.

The Spiders were on the road against a high flying Auburn team that averages 85 points a game. Vegas had Richmond as 4 touchdown underdog and figured I was reading a football article. Well, they didn't disappoint losing 54 to 98. Tigers indeed got the last bite. High scorer for Richmond was Mikkel Tyne with 16 points. They hope to rebound on December 14 vs Belmont on their home campus. One plus, they sell cold beer so that could be a home field advantage!
