Definition of Domination Rankings: the ranking of all categories of college basketball - women, men, wheelchair, D1, D2, D3, NAIA, JUCO . . . - together (based on record, average margin of victory [MOV], and a super secret formula) by the arguably insane folks at College Basketball Times as part of our non-profit mission of equality. Make sense? Uh, not really Dave. Then take a look below and I think you'll get it. And you might even get a few laughs. You mean the rankings are a joke, Dave? No, not at all. I did, however, provide some hopefully humorous comments. Though if you feel compelled to laugh at the rankings, well, that works for me too.
Sincerely,
Dave Barend - Grand Poobah
PS - Just to be clear "MOV" in the below rankings stands for average margin of victory. Yes, eventually I'll change that to the more sensical AMOV.
Top 65 Domination Rankings - 4/3/2023
1. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 18-0 - MOV 43.51)
This team remains undefeated. That's because they are the most dominant college hoops team. And because they haven't had a game in about 3 weeks.
2. Nova Southeastern Sharks (Men's D2 - 36-0 - MOV 25.01)
They named their mascot Razor the Shark. Apparently Shark alone doesn't exude enough fear.
3. Ashland Eagles (Women's D2 - 37-0 - MOV 23.89)
No team in all of college basketball had more wins than the D2 champs. And I may be going out on a limb here, but I'm pretty confident that no team will ever have less losses.
4. Transylvania Pioneers (Women's D3 - 33-0 - MOV 23.92)
In leading her team to the D3 title, Madison Kellione shot well. I think she was helped by not putting her own hand in front of her face.
5. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 34-1 - MOV 42.93)
I've become a big Morton College fan this season. And I'm going to stay that way even though I've learned that the school is in no way connected to Mort Sahl. (Yes, it's 2023 and I just made a Mort Sahl reference.)
6. CCBC Essex Knights (Women's NJCAA D2 - 36-1 - MOV 37.57)
When people learn that CCBC Essex is in Baltimore they all seem to have the same inexplicable response: "I loved The Wire."
7. Michigan Wolverines (Manager Games - 8-0 - MOV 25.5)
In the championship game, they knocked off Notre Dame, my wife's alma mater. So I feel compelled to write the following: it's hard for me to be happier than when ND loses. Go Blue!!
8. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 31-1 - MOV 39.59)
The school's Wikipedia page shows a police car parked in front of the cafeteria. I guess at Palomar there's some pretty intense food fights.
9. Rochester C & T Yellow Jackets (Women's NJCAA D3 - 27-1 - MOV 36.63)
The C stands for Community, but I thought it was for Communications. Then I realized that doesn't make sense. Kids these days don't communicate.
10. Nevada Wolf Pack (Women's Club - 11-0 - MOV 24.72)
They are the only team in the top 10 still playing. And they have a long way to go. Their championship is in Erie, PA.
11. Valparaiso Beacons (Manager Games - 6-0 - MOV 25.5)
12. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 31-1 - MOV 31.48)

Top 70 Domination Rankings - 3/27/2023
1. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 18-0 - MOV 43.51)
These women have now rolled all the way to #1. (See what I did there with rolled? Yeah Dave, it was pretty obvious.) Unfortunately, I don't think they can get any higher. But imagine the press if they do. HEADLINE: "Alabama Women's Wheelchair - First Team Ever Ranked Higher Than #1!"
2. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 31-0 - MOV 32.66)
According to Encyclopedia Virginia, Christopher Newport University is named after Christopher Newport. So just to clarify, it's not George Washington University that is named after Christopher Newport, it's Christopher Newport University.
3. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 36-0 - MOV 29.45)
The team made the Final 4 and then cut down the net. An amazing sight. Though it might have been even more exciting if they tried to cut down the shot clock.
4. Nova Southeastern Sharks (Men's D2 - 36-0 - MOV 25.01)
The Sharks gave up 101 points in the championship game. A disappointing way to end the season. Well, had it not been for the fact that that they scored an incredible 111 points. Congrats to the champs.
5. Ashland Eagles (Women's D2 - 36-0 - MOV 24.25)
The school's motto is "Accent on the Individual." Ok, but on which letter? The I?, The N? The D? . . .
6. Transylvania Pioneers (Women's D3 - 32-0 - MOV 24.52)
#2 Christopher Newport plays #6 Transylvania on Saturday. I don't know who's going to win. But I do know one thing for sure: if you are looking at these rankings after Saturday, they are wrong.
7. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 34-1 - MOV 42.93)
I'm nearly certain that this is the only Morton that doesn't prefer to be called Morty.
8. Michigan Wolverines (Manager Games - 5-0 - MOV 36.8)
What's going to be harder for this team? Winning 3 games in a row this weekend to claim the Manager Games championship. Or suppressing the urge to immediately set up chairs at the start of every time out.
9. UMass Minutewomen (Women's Club - 10-0 - MOV 31.9)
All club sports at UMass are chartered by the student government. That has led some unique campaign signs like, "Vote For Jean. She'll Save Your Team!" and "Screw Crew. Don't Vote For Drew!"
10. CCBC Essex Knights (Women's NJCAA D2 - 36-1 - MOV 37.57)
The CCBC Essex Women just won the NJCAA D2 Tournament. And to think they weren't even ranked in the pre-season. By who? Us.
11. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 31-1 - MOV 39.59)

Top 70 Domination Rankings - 3/20/2023
1. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 32-0 - MOV 46.46)
The school was established in 1924, but a campus wasn't created until 1975. So I guess from 1924-1975 Morton solely offered online classes.
2. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 18-0 - MOV 43.51)
These women amazingly became the sole national champs on Alabama's campus. And they reigned supreme until the men's wheelchair team obtained that same title - a mere week later.
3. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 31-0 - MOV 32.66)
I keep providing fun facts about Christopher Newport and these women keep winning. But some probably still think there is no correlation. New fun fact: Christopher Newport was born in Limehouse. And yet he was never a fan of margaritas.
4. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 34-0 - MOV 30.39)
Looks like Coach Staley might become the new face of AFLAC. Here's hoping she becomes the sound of AFLAC too.
5. Wabash Valley Warriors (Women's NJCAA D1 - 30-1 - MOV 48.26)
Wabash Valley's logo has a spear with triangular stone head. Pretty cool. But the only person who could possibly be the mascot is Ferb's friend Phineas.
6. Nova Southeastern Sharks (Men's D2 - 34-0 - MOV 25.99)
Nova Southeastern is located in Davie, Fla, also the home of Bushwood C. C. What's Bushwood C. C, you ask? That's the country club in Caddyshack? What's Caddyshack, you ask? That's the funniest movie ever made. How old am I, you ask?
7. Ashland Eagles (Women's D2 - 34-0 - MOV 25.99)
Assistant Coach Jenna Kotas has been named to the WBCA's list of "30 Under 30" for the 4th year in a row. Incredible, but that comes with a lot of pressure to win it next year. Otherwise everyone will know she's 30.
8. Transylvania Pioneers (Women's D3 - 32-0 - MOV 24.52)
The school's original structure was a log cabin, which severely limited the ability to bounce pass.
9. Michigan Wolverines (Manager Games - 5-0 - MOV 36.8)
The Michigan Mangers team made it to the Sweet 16 by beating Marquette with 55% of the vote. Of the vote? Yeah, Manager Games uses voting to determine the Final 4. So this begs the question: Could the Michigan Managers beat Biden and Trump?
10. Davidson-Davie C. C. Storm (Men's NJCAA D2 - 33-0 - MOV 21.66)
Last week Jahlen King scored 24 points off the bench. Impressive. Though it would have been even more impressive if he did so on the bench.
11. UMass Minutewomen (Women's Club - 10-0 - MOV 31.9)
12. CCBC Essex Knights (Women's NJCAA D2 - 33-1 - MOV 39.98)
13. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 31-1 - MOV 39.59)

Top 80 Domination Rankings - 3/14/2023
1. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 30-0 - MOV 45.48)
Two words: Mia Simpson. Though I can’t remember if they were said by Bart or Homer.
2. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 18-0 - MOV 43.51)
While leading her team to another National Championship, Alabama’s Mary Silberman went 1-1 from 3 point range. Yeah, that doesn’t seem like a big deal - until you realize she did it sitting down.
3. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 30-0 - MOV 33.59)
I’d like it known that when I committed to providing a fun fact about Captain Christopher Newport every week these women made the top 10, I did not know something: they are incredible. So here goes again: Christopher Newport once commanded a ship called the Little John. And I believe that led to a life long search for a ship called the Adequate Sized Commode.
4. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 32-0 - MOV 30.33)
Despite what the NCAA Tournament bracket says, I’m quite confident that South Carolina will not play Norfolk State in the first round. They will kill Norfolk State in the first round.
5. Wabash Valley Warriors (Women's NJCAA D1 - 30-1 - MOV 48.26)
I wonder if their opponents ever taunt them by saying, “Warriors, come out and play.” Why do I wonder this? Because I’m old.
6. Nova Southeastern Sharks (Men's D2 - 32-0 - MOV 26.62)
Nova Southeastern is "the most dominant men’s team in all of college hoops." A truly great title, especially since it doesn’t reveal that there are 5 women’s teams more dominant.
7. Ashland Eagles (Women's D2 - 33-0 - MOV 25.84)
32 different states have towns named Ashland. Luckily someone finally came up with the idea for fire departments.
8. Central Methodist Eagles (Women's NAIA - 35-0 - MOV 23.93)
The Central Methodist Eagles. Huh. And all this time I thought eagles were Presbyterian.
9. Transylvania Pioneers (Women's D3 - 31-0 - MOV 24.96)
I love Transylvania. I mean how can you not love a school located in Kentucky that willingly refers to itself as Transy?
10. Michigan Wolverines (Managers - 5-0 - MOV 36.8)
These guys not only manage Michigan’s D1 team, but they're the most dominant team in a separate league for managers. And they’ve somehow done so without any managers for their team.

Top 90 - CBT Domination Rankings - 3/6/2023
1. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 30-0 - MOV 46.07)
This Saturday, Morton’s opponent, Rock Valley, is expected to use all of its players - all 5 of them. And I think that might be where the expectations end for Rock Valley.
2. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 30-0 - MOV 40.97)
Deajanae Harvey won the PCAC Player of Year last year. And she won it again this year. But I don’t think she can pull it off 3 years in a row. And I think that’s because she’s graduating.
3. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 16-0 - MOV 43.27)
The National Championship tournament is this weekend. And Alabama has a Twitter post that reads “Who’s ready for Friday?” On, can I answer?! Please?! I’m nearly positive I know the answer.
4. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 28-0 - MOV 35.10)
My streak of attempted fun facts about Captain Christopher Newport continues: He apparently became a seaman at a mere 18 years of age. While that might seem young, I think most become seamen much earlier. Regardless, there’s no doubt that Freshman McKenna Snively isn’t waiting to reach her potential. She's shooting a stellar team best 45% from 3 point range.
5. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 32-0 - MOV 30.33)
The Gamecocks are SEC Champs. Though I think there is another title they may want a bit more.
6. Wabash Valley Warriors (Women's NJCAA D1 - 29-1 - MOV 48.21)
On Saturday, the Warriors played John A. Logan College whose namesake had unparalleled success as a soldier. That fact proved to be irrelevant: Wabash Valley won 100-59.
7. Transylvania Pioneers (Women's D3 - 28-0 - MOV 28.20)
The schools mascot is a bat. But don’t worry, it’s never been to a food market.
8. Ashland Eagles (Women's D2 - 31-0 - MOV 26.51)
If there is one things the folks at Ashland would like you to know it’s that the “h” is not silent.
9. Nova Southeastern Sharks (Men's D2 - 30-0 - MOV 26.76)
Some people confuse Villanova, which goes by Nova, with Nova Southeastern. Let me clear things up: Nova Southeastern ranks much much higher.
10. Central Methodist Eagles (Women's NAIA - 32-0 - MOV 25.74)
The school has a great motto: "Learning Today. Leading Tomorrow.” But what happens when tomorrow comes, and then people realize it’s today? “Nope no leading yet! We have to wait till tomorrow.”

Top 80 - CBT Domination Rankings - 2/27/2023
1. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 28-0 - MOV 45.44)
Though this record shows Morton as undefeated, their website reveals that in conference play they actually lost twice. Well, they lost 2 quarters.
2. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 29-0 - MOV 41.80)
Palomar has made it to the CCCAA's Sweet 16. An expected accomplishment for a team with the #1 seed. But somehow they were given #2 which they took personally. So here's hoping they don't figure out where I live.
3. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 16-0 - MOV 43.27)
Alabama has a bit of an advantage going into next weekend's National Championship. Uh Dave, because the event is taking place at Alabama? No, it's that they are really, really good.
4. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 26-0 - MOV 36.00)
Since the beginning of December I've been providing fun facts about Captain Christopher Newport. And through all of my research I have found no reason to believe that Christopher Newport was, in any way, fun.
5. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 29-0 - MOV 30.99)
There is strong evidence above that these women have game. I mean, it's right in their nicknam
6. Wabash Valley Warriors (Women's NJCAA D1 - 27-1 - MOV 48.92)
Did you know that were it not for the very first game of the season, the Warriors would be undefeated? I kind of think they do.
7. Transylvania Pioneers (Women's D3 - 27-0 - MOV 28.81)
So I'm confused. I just looked at a map of Transylvania. How could it not include Bran Castle?
8. Central Methodist Eagles (Women's NAIA - 31-0 - MOV 25.77)
The school was charted on March 15, 1855. And yet its motto is not "Beware."
9. Ashland Eagles (Women's D2 - 29-0 - MOV 26.89)
The school is located in Ashland, Ohio. Its founders committed to building the campus on the most desirable land in the town. The difficulty of such a task in a town called Ashland probably should have been foreseen.
10. College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles (Men's NJCAA D1 - 29-0 - 26.64)

They play in the Skyway Conference, but they may need to look elsewhere. Seems like for this team the sky is too limiting.
2. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 28-0 - MOV 42.23)
There are no questions with respect to this truly dominant team. I do have questions about the school though. Like, who is this guy Omar? And how did he get his friend to name a college after him?
3. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 16-0 - MOV 43.27)
The Crimson Tide held CUNY to 21 points last weekend. That's pretty impressive. And a bit more impressive when you realize that was over two games.
4. Rochester Com & Tech Yellow Jackets (Women's NJCAA D3 - 23-0 - MOV 39.21)
They go by RCTC which is very similar to ROTC. But there's one big difference: these women are much tougher.
5. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 24-0 - MOV 36.75)
CNU keeps winning so I keep providing fun facts about Christopher Newport. It took him not one, not two, but three voyages to and from London to bring something desperately needed for expansion at Jamestown - women.
6. Orange County Community College Colts (Men's NJCAA D2 - 27-0 - MOV 33.01)
Orange chose a fine nickname with Colts. But as one who has attended more than a few youth sporting events, I would have gone with Slices.
7. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 27-0 - MOV 32.44)
South Carolina just knocked off Ole Miss. Next up: Swiss Miss.
8. Georgetown Hoyas (Men's Club - 6-0 - MOV 41.5)
The Hoyas have a player named Albert Grandy III. And for his jersey number he chose, of course, 4.
9. UMass Minutewomen (Women's Club - 10-0 - MOV 31.9)
I've never known of a Minutewoman. Though there are women I've known who might clam to have been with a Minuteman. They should not be believed.
10. Transylvania Pioneers (Women's D3 - 25-0 - MOV 28.96)
Note to Self: just because they rhyme does not mean that Transylvania is in Pennsylvania. Note to Transylvania: can you please move from Kentucky to Pennsylvania? Or change your name to Transyltucky?
11. Nova Southeastern Sharks (Men's D2 - 25-0 - MOV 28.84)
12. Wabash Valley Warriors (Women's NJCAA D1 - 24-1 - MOV 48.76)
13. Ashland Eagles (Women's D2 - 27-0 - MOV 28.11)
14. College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles (Men's NJCAA D1 - 28-0 - 27.20)

16. Fulton-Montgomery Raiders (Women's NJCAA D3 - 18-0 - MOV 27.0)

?18. Michigan Wolverines (Managers - 5-0 - MOV 36.8)
19. North Idaho Cardinals (Men's NWAC - 25-0 - MOV 22.36)
20. Scranton Lady Royals (Women's D3 - 25-0 - MOV 21.52)
21. Davidson-Davie C. C. Storm (Men's NJCAA D2 - 26-0 - MOV 20.27)
22. CCBC ESSEX Knights (Women's NJCAA D2 - 25-1 - MOV 36.92)
23. Brown Bears (Men's Club - 9-0 - MOV 24.60)
24. Johnson C. C. C. Lady Cavaliers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 26-1 - MOV 36.06)
25. Valparaiso Beacons (Managers - 6-0 - MOV 25.5)

Top 75 - CBT Domination Rankings - 2/13/2023
1. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 25-0 - MOV 43.83)
Morton's motto is "Imagine what you can do!" - to which this team responds, "Ok. Now what?"
2. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 26-0 - MOV 40.98)
Palomar is not only quite dominant, but may also be the most celestial. Uh Dave, most celestial? Sure, they have a team filled with comets. And they have an actual star on campus. You mean Deajanae Harvey, who is averaging 25 ppg? Nope, I mean the president, Star Rivera-Lacey.
3. Rochester Com & Tech Yellow Jackets (Women's NJCAA D3 - 20-0 - MOV - 41.59)
Rochester C & T and University of Rochester both have the nickname Yellow Jackets. I think the schools should play each other for the right to keep the name. And I think there's strong evidence that these ladies would gladly accept the challenge.
4. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 14-0 - MOV 42.10)
This weekend, Alabama's Women's Wheelchair team could complete a seeming impossibility - play and beat every single team in their entire division. That'd be like a D1 Men's team playing and beating all 363 teams in D1. Well, with one minor difference - there's only 6 teams in the women's wheelchair division. (But still.)
5. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 22-0 - MOV 37.82)
Yet another Christopher Newport fun fact: though he and his dad shared the same name, he did not go by CN2. But I do like how the school goes by CNU as it allows for some sappy slogans like: CNU is the best part of my day. Or, CNU makes life worth living. It, however, also could go negative: CNU makes me pray for blindness. Or, CNU leads to nausea.
6. Johnson C. C. C. Lady Cavaliers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 24-0 - MOV 35.7)
Dear Beavis - Not sure what you are up to these days, but can you come up with something entertaining about a school named Johnson? I'm stumped. Feel free to pass this on to your buddy Butthead.
7. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 25-0 - MOV 33.52)
There's some debate as to whether the name "horseshoe" first went to the curved array of buildings on South Carolina's campus or to the U shaped stadium at Ohio State. But if I had to guess I'd say that horseshoe first went to a horse.
8. Orange County Community College Colts (Men's NJCAA D2 - 26-0 - MOV 31.71)
Orange CCC, located in NY, is the most dominant men's college team. And I'm pretty sure that also makes them the most dominant "Orange" men's college team in NY.
9. Lane CC Titans (Women's NWAC - 24-0 - MOV 31.7)
The name of their mascot is Ty. I'd say there might be reason to change that to Win.
10. UMass Minutewomen (Women's Club - 6-0 - MOV 42.1)
UMass has the tallest university library. Impressive. But taking a book out requires a life threatening version of Jenga.
11. Georgetown Hoyas (Men's Club - 6-0 - MOV 41.5)
12. Nova Southeastern Sharks (Men's D2 - 23-0 - MOV 28.87)

Top 75 - CBT Domination Rankings - 2/6/2023
1. Rochester Com & Tech Yellow Jackets (Women's NJCAA D3 - 18-0 - MOV - 43.66)
For 5 straight weeks now, Rochester C & T has been the most dominant team in the nation. That is a new Domination Rankings record. A feat that would be slightly more impressive were this not the first year of the Domination Rankings.
2. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 24-0 - MOV 41.57)
Head Coach Leigh Marshall was named the CCCAA coach of the year in 2015, 2017, and 2018. By all accounts she's a perfect fit for the Comets, but with one glaring flaw - she refuses to change her name to Haley.
3. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 23-0 - MOV 41.56)
The team wears Micheal Jordan's "Jump Man" brand jerseys. And his coveted #23 ended up being taken by - nobody. Well, maybe that makes sense. This team might just be more dominant than his.
4. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 11-0 - MOV 41.40)
Alabama's Women's Wheelchair team is trekking all the way to Illinois this weekend. Geesh, that seems like a long way to go. Uh Dave, you did realize they don't travel via wheelchair. Of course I do. Now.
5. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 22-0 - MOV 37.82)
10 weeks ago I promised to provide a fun fact about Christoper Newport as long as CNU stayed in the top 10. That was a lot easier to do 10 weeks ago. Yet I persevere: in 1599 while in present day Mexico, he captured Tabasco. An amazing accomplish followed by years of regret for failing to trademark the name.
6. Johnson C. C. C. Lady Cavaliers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 22-0 - MOV 36.9)
Back in the day I played with a lot of heart, because playing with talent was simply not possible. JCCC appears to have heart and skill - and all in one player. Mackenzie Hart averages a whopping 14.4 points per game and shoots an incredible 41.3% from 3 point range.
7. Orange County Community College Colts (Men's NJCAA D2 - 23-0 - MOV 33.80)
The school often goes by SUNY Orange. Hmm. Feels a bit redundant. Or maybe it's perfect. Yeah, let's go with perfect as it fits this team.
8. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 23-0 - MOV 33.07)
The school has the largest collection of Scottish literature, outside of Scotland. I'd like to see them actually overtake Scotland for the most Scottish literature. But I'd also kind of like to see the school's reaction when Scotland then orders every one of its citizens to write something.
9. LSU Tigers (Women's D1 - 23-0 - MOV 32.43)
So, you watching the big game on Sunday? Of course, Dave. And then you'll turn on the Super Bowl? Uh Dave, I'm confused. LSU vs. South Carolina - two 23-0 teams with MOVs around 33. Come on, that has to be the big game.
10. Lane CC Titans (Women's NWAC - 22-0 - MOV 31.5)
If you hear someone say "Be the ball," it's likely an old guy quoting Caddyshack. It's what old guys do. I know, I'm an old guy. Or it could be a young girl wanted to be "The" Sarah Ball who is averaging an impressive 5.1 rebounds per game. Her teammate Chloe Daniels averages an even more impressive 6.9 rebonds, while Bella Hamel averages a staggering 13 per game. Way to "Be the ball" ladies.

Top 70 - CBT Domination Rankings - 1/30/2023
1. Rochester Com & Tech Yellow Jackets (Women's NJCAA D3 - 16-0 - MOV - 44.31)
Dr. Charles Mayo founded the school in 1915. Now, 107 years later, it continues to miss out on an excellent nickname: The Mayo! Ok maybe not. But I don't think you can come up with a better slogan for this team than Hellman's: "Bring out the best."
2. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 21-0 - MOV 42.5)
Morton is located in a Chicago suburb of Cicero - named after the Roman Empire philosopher, Marcus Tullius Cicero. There are a number of theories as to why the town chose this name. I'm somewhat skeptical of the one that claims Cicero spent his summers on Lake Michigan.
3. Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 22-0 - MOV 40.67) - Palomar plays in the CCCAA which is a JUCO league just for California schools. The obvious negative is they don't compete against teams from other states. The obvious positive is the league will be prepared when California becomes an island after the Big One.
4. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 11-0 - MOV 41.40)
I should divulge that Alabama is not the only undefeated team in the wheelchair division. CUNY has not lost a game either. I should probably also divulge that CUNY has not yet played a game.
5. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 20-0 - MOV 38.35)
Yet another top 10 ranking for CNU, so yet another fun fact for you about Captain Christopher Newport. Some say the statue on campus, depicting him with 2 arms, incorrectly displays the great captain. And I say if you are looking for an indisputably accurate display of greatness on campus, head to the Freeman Center when these women are playing.
6. Richard Bland College Statesmen (Women's NJCAA D2 - 17-0 - MOV 37.05)
Richard Bland's women's basketball team has been a dominant force in college hoops since it was first created - about 4 months ago.
7. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 20-0 - MOV 37.20)
Note to self: I know it's hard, but please, for the love of God, continue to refrain from making any joke about Gamecocks.
8.LSU Tigers (Women's D1 - 21-0 - MOV 35)
So I was at a party talking to a few people and I mention LSU. Then a woman looks at me and say, "Uh, yeah." I then asked, "Oh, you know LSU?" She says, "Yes, I know." Well, I'm intrigued, because I want to find out more about LSU, so I ask, "Really you know LSU?" She says, "Of course." Then she looks at me like I'm some kind of idiot. Turns out she didn't know a thing about LSU! And her first name was Elle.
9. UMass Minutewomen (Women's Club - 6-0 - MOV 42)
I'm not sure why Massachusetts calls itself UMass. Though I guess a school of higher learning doesn't want to be known as Um.
10. Georgetown Hoyas (Men's Club - 4-0 - MOV 43)
I turned to Google to try to find out what a Hoya is. Apparently it's an orange origami bunny with a whole lot of financial advice.

Top 60 - CBT Domination Rankings - 1/23/2023
1. Rochester Com & Tech Yellow Jackets (Women's NJCAA D3 - 14-0 - MOV 47.35)
Big test for these dominant Yellow Jackets on 1/25 when they travel to Minnesota West and play the #42 Lady Jays (20-1, MOV 26.86). I can't wait to watch. Uh Dave, I'm pretty sure it's not televised. Oh ok, then I can't wait to follow along on Instantgram. Uh, Dave it's called Instagram, and I'm pretty sure you have no idea what that is. Oh ok, then I can't wait to check the score in the morning.
2.Palomar College Comets (Women's CCCAA - 20-0 - MOV 40.05)
Former WWE champion, Nia Jax, once played for Palomar. Wonder if she could help out the team now. Well, there seems to be some pretty strong evidence that they don't need her.
3. Morton College Panthers (Women's NJCAA D2 - 19-0 - MOV 41.46)
So what will end first: Morton's amazing winning streak, or my amazing ability to refrain from trying to get a cheap laugh by referencing Morton Salt? Uh Dave, I think I know the answer.
4. Alabama Crimson Tide (Women's Wheelchair - 11-0 - MOV 41.40)
After an absolutely dominate performance at this past weekend's tournament, they jumped 9 spots in these rankings. Yeah, they are really good. But I just don't see them going up another 9 spots.
5. Christopher Newport Captains (Women's D3 - 17-0 - MOV 38.41)
CNU's has made the Top 10 for an 8th straight week, and I feel compelled to give you yet another fun fact about Captain Christopher Newport. He convinced his wife Katherine that she was his one and only. And yet he captained ships named Susan, Mary and Margaret. For the record, CNU has no Susan, Mary, Margaret or Katherine, just winners.
6. South Carolina Gamecocks (Women's D1 - 20-0 - MOV 37.20)
The University of South Carolina likes to be called USC. I'm guessing those feelings are not shared by USC.
7.LSU Tigers (Women's D1 - 20-0 - MOV 36.35)
I love that LSU named its tiger mascot Mike. Why? Mainly because they opted not to go with Tony.
8. UMass Minutewomen (Women's Club - 6-0 - MOV 42)
UMass actually goes by UMass-Amherst so as not to be confused with UMass-Dartmouth which gets confused with Dartmouth. Seems like being confused with Dartmouth would be a good thing.
9.Richard Bland College Statesmen (Women's NJCAA D2 - 15-0 - MOV 37.06)
What's there to do on the RBC campus? Well, you can check out a grove of century-old pecan trees. And when that excitement ever wears off? Well, there's also jasmine - found in the gym, goes by Jasmine Norman, and averages a whopping 19.2 points per game.
10. Georgetown Hoyas (Men's Club - 4-0 - MOV 43)
They are the only men's team in the entire top 10. So women are apparently more dominant than men. A fact disputed by not one married man.
11. College of Southern Idaho Golden Eagles (Men's NJCAA D1 - 23-0 - 34.17)
12. Orange County Comm. College Colts (Men's NJCAA D2 -17-0 - MOV 33.10)
